If I can't sleep I might as well blog

Mom is coming up to Wilmington on Wednesday and we are going to Balcony on Dock.  She wants to see the location and discuss some details and then hopefully we are signing contract and paying down payment.  I can't wait and Clay is equally excited.  I also made my appointment for my alterations on my dress and the lady in a heavy accent informed me that my wedding is awfully soon.  I'm glad she reminded me because my frantic planning hasn't reminded me everyday!!!  I'll be glad when all of that is over.  I have gotten some pricing and contact information on some of the photographers in the area.  Holy cow it is expensive to take pictures of your wedding.  Those big bucks don't even always include the album.  If any upcoming (cheap) great photographers read this please contact me!!  I have also emailed the one that did Laura's wedding to see if he'll travel from Oak Island to do ours.

A small checklist...
Fiance - check
Ring - check
Dress - check
Location - close to check
Cake - penciled in (almost a check)
Photographer - gonna have to write a big check
Bridesmaids and groomsmen - check
Clothing for the above mentioned - not even close to check
Flowers - same as photographer

As you can see we have done some of the big stuff but there is so much more to do.  I am excited though about the food because the crab stuffed tomatoes and butternut squash soup at the open house were amazing.  Even though people may despise us we may have to nix the idea of alcohol (minus champagne) because food is WAY more important to both of us.

As for Clay he will go this week to finish up the apartment papers.  He is supposed to move in on Friday however he will probably wait for his bed to arrive on Tuesday before he fully moves in.  We are trying not to double up on everything in hopes that we actually get to live together after the wedding.

If this doesn't all come together then we will just send out our announcements.  Just ignore the fact that the return address will probably be Vegas or a very tiny island that actually uses a stamp (not sticker).  Pray for us!!!!
